Though the villa takes its architectural cues from the traditional salt-mine workers’ houses that once dotted the island, its modern layout and furnishings lend contemporary edge. The heart of the house is an open-concept great room that opens to the ocean-facing and pool terraces via wide sliding glass doors. Slipcovered sofas, panton chairs and a convenient island are chic yet comfortable in the sitting area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen.
Ultimate sea side location
Enjoy the view of the turquoise water from the outside areas of the villa, cool down into the sea via the easy stairs or take a 10-minute drive to the pastel-like part of Pink Beach, where you can enjoy great snorkeling and diving. Three bedrooms – each with a double bed, private bathroom and lounge – are perfect for a group of up to six family and friends, or even a wonderful Caribbean honeymoon. Two of the bedrooms open onto the terrace, so you can start the day with a fresh sea air or fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

For people who want to spend their stay actively, there are various activities in the nearby area such as horse riding, diving, canoeing, fishing, wind- and kitesurfing. It’s just 10 minutes by car to the nearest departure points for guided sailing and snorkeling tours. For restaurants, shops, bars and entertainment, make the short drive into Kralendijk, the island’s charming capital or simply walk in a few minutes to the famous Brass Boer of three-star Michelin chef Jonnie Boer (www.brassboer.com).
